Pioneer Learning Studio provides personalized math instruction for students who need stronger foundations, help with current coursework, or a clearer path forward.
I also support homeschool families with math instruction and practical guidance on curriculum, placement, and pacing.
Based in Spring Branch, Texas, I teach online and offer limited in-person sessions by arrangement in the Texas Hill Country and San Antonio area.

The Pioneer Approach
Math often becomes frustrating when a student has missed important steps along the way. At Pioneer Learning Studio, I look for where the confusion started, explain concepts clearly, and help students build from there.
The goal is not to rush through more work. The goal is to help students understand math better, work through gaps, and make steady progress in a calm setting.
A More Personal Alternative to a Learning Center
Pioneer Learning Studio is intentionally small. Students work directly with Brenda, a certified math teacher and experienced homeschool mom. Lessons are designed around each student's coursework, learning needs, and goals. Parents receive thoughtful communication about the skills being addressed and their student's progress.

Small-Group Workshops
One-on-one math instruction for students who need clearer explanations, guided practice, and support with current math. Sessions may include foundational math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, or related skills.
Math support for homeschool students using their family’s chosen curriculum. Sessions may include lesson support, skill practice, placement concerns, or help keeping math moving at a manageable pace.
Practical guidance for parents who want help choosing curriculum, setting a realistic plan, thinking through placement, or deciding what kind of support their student needs.
Our first online workshop, Fraction Foundations, helps students strengthen essential fraction skills and develop confidence as they prepare for Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. Additional workshop topics are planned for the future.
TEFA-Approved Provider: Eligible families may use Texas Education Freedom Accounts funds for approved private math instruction, subject to program requirements.
Meet Brenda
Brenda is a certified math teacher and experienced homeschool mom. She homeschooled her own children for many years and understands both the structure of formal education and the day-to-day realities of teaching at home.
Pioneer Learning Studio grew out of those combined experiences. Brenda helps students who need clearer math instruction and supports parents who are trying to make wise decisions about curriculum, pacing, learning concerns, and next steps.
